Production continues on Woody Allen’s 2018 Film. After a very public first day, the next couple were behind closed doors. The production moved to 62nd St. We also have some very unconfirmed details of some character roles.
Days 2 & 3 were filmed at 133 E 62nd Street, a residential property. Thanks to John Phillips for the photos. He tells us that extras in tuxedos and fancy dresses were heading inside, suggesting some sort of glamorous party. Not much else to go on.
We know it’s the new Woody Allen film, as production notices on the surrounding street are designated for WASP 2017, standing for for Woody Allen Summer Project (yes, it’s not summer. It’s part of the joke).

Social media seems to have a clue as to what the film is about. It is unverified and could easily be misheard info, but it seems like Selena Gomez is playing an actress, and the scene shot on Monday was a film within the film.

Gomez doesn’t seem to stop. She has been promoting a fashion partnership whilst working on the film. She even sat down with Elle, and spoke a little about working with Allen. Like a pro, she didn’t reveal any of the secretive story details.
I think when you’re playing a character in any film it’s so crucial to have the costume that makes you feel like you’re going to be that character. It’s all very comfortable and when I put it on I feel like the character I’m supposed to play. I just started so I’m beyond excited to be able to continue.
Tuxedos, dresses, costumes. This is shaping up to be a film with some glamour.
Production on Woody Allen’s 2018 film continues in New York.
