It’s 2017 and a new year means a new film for Woody Allen. Not much has been officially announced about the 2017 film which will star Justin Timberlake and Kate Winslet, that was filmed last year. We now have our first inkling of information, and it’s from Brazil. Allen’s Brazilian distributor have given the film a release date. The news comes from AdoraCinema.
Still untitled, the film is set to be released in Brazil on 12th October 2017. It is distributed by Imagem Films, who have released four Allen films in a row so far, every one since 2013’s Blue Jasmine. The release date is a little later than Allen films are usually released in Brazil.
No other information. The article mentions that Amazon are once again involved, but last we heard that was not confirmed. We expect to hear more in the next couple of months, as the film is shopped around film festivals. We assume the film will start to roll out its release from July.
The new film stars Jim Belushi, Juno Temple, Justin Timberlake and Kate Winslet, and sees a lot of crew returning from Café Society, including cinematographer Vittorio Storaro.
