Café Society, the latest film written and directed by Woody Allen, is out now in selected US cinemas. It has been open for a little over a week, with a strong week 1 and weekend 2 result. The film has earned $1,377,379 in the US. It was the 17th highest grossing film in the US this weekend past, just ahead of the Blake Lively starring The Shallows.

This adds to the $7,447,849 posted in France (and French speaking Switzerland). The current global box office stands at $8,825,228. It should pass the $10m mark in no time.

It is tracking ahead of Allen’s recent efforts – Irrational Man and Magic In The Moonlight, although it wont surpass the minor blockbuster that was Blue Jasmine.

In other news, theres been lots of fun promotional bits around the web.

Amazon have been running some critic cards online.

And there are new character posters doing the rounds.

eOne Australia are promoting LA vs New York. It’s like Batman vs Superman, I guess. Whose side are you on? (New York, obvs)
