In what is fast becoming a yearly tradition, Woody Allen’s new film is gracing the Hong Kong Summer International Film Festival. Café Society, the new film written and directed by Allen, joins the prestigious line up, taking the opening night slot.
The festival runs from the 16th-30th August 2016. Café Society will premiere on the 16th at the Grand Cinema in Kowloon.
This is the first chance for Chinese audiences to see the film, with a release date for China set for 26th August. Other films playing at the festival include new works by Paul Verhoeven, Whit Stillman, Terence Malick and more. Find out more at the official HKSIFF website or check out the full line up. Tickets will be on sale from HKSIFF website on 27th July.
This is the fourth time in a row that Woody Allen has had a film play at the festival. Blue Jasmine, Magic In The Moonlight and Irrational Man all played in previous years. Magic In The Moonlight also opened the festival in 2014.

Meanwhile, Café Society is out now in selected cities in the US, and will go wide this weekend.
