Here are your choices:
Bridget Jone’s Diary
Girl With A Pearl Earring
The King’s Speech
Love Actually
Mamma Mia
A Single Man
Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy
Or you can choose one of your own.
Vote now – you have a couple of weeks.
We also wrap up our last poll – What Is Your Fave Blockbuster of 2014?
Coming out on top was ‘X-Men: Days Of Future Past‘ with 32%. The Bryan Singer directed sequel brought together two teams of onscreen X-Men. The large cast features two Allen alumni – Hugh Jackman (Scoop) and Ellen Page (To Rome With Love) – in starring roles. Michael Lerner (Celebrity) and Brian Cox (Match Point) also appear.
Second with 17% of the vote comes ‘22 Jump Street‘. Directed by the team of Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, it sees Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum returning to university to solve a drug ring in comic fashion. This was our vote. There’s a cute Annie Hall reference in the film.

Third with 14% of the votes comes ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2‘. Another sequel, it sees Andrew Garfield return as the webslinger. Emma Stone (who is of course starring in ‘Magic In the Moonlight‘ and currently in production with Woody Allen’s 2015 film). Paul Giamatti (Mighty Aphrodite, Deconstructing Harry) also appears.

No contest imo – ‘A Single Man’ was so brilliant.
Colin should have two Academy Awards, one for “a Single Man” and of course the one he was awarded in “The Kings Speech”
