The breakout star of the Bullets Over Broadway musical is no doubt Nick Cordero, who plays the gangster Cheech. He was nominated for a Tony Award in the category of Best Performance By A Featured Actor In A Musical. He’s gone from unknown actor to appearing on national talk shows. Here’s some videos of this big week for Cordero.
The best is this interview from ‘The Couch‘. We discover that Cordero almost gave it up before this role. There’s also great footage, with our first look at Cordero and Brooks Ashmanskas singing ‘There’ll Be Some Changes Made‘, and Susan Stroman.
We also find out that Eugene Levy and Martin Short both attended shows recently. And Cordero has mentioned that Allen has moved onto a new project, which has to be pre production on the 2015 Film.
He also appeared in A-Sides, where he revealed that he met and thanks Woody Allen for the role at the opening night party.
Let’s hope Cordero takes away the Tony on 8th June! Either way it seems like he’s set to be a big star.
