Woody Allen has held his regular engagement of playing clarinet in the Eddy Davis New Orleans Jazz Band for decades. The band has made plenty of crossovers into Allen’s film career and now they have revealed they are recording a secret track for the Bullets Over Broadway musical.
The band themselves sent us tweets from the studio on twitter.

We know the full cast has recorded their songs two weeks ago. It seems very unusual for there to be a secret track not included in the show – and very exciting. What’s the track? We don’t know – but Allen and band have performed some of the songs on the soundtrack. Perhaps it’s a reprise of ‘Tiger Rag‘…
Woody Allen And the Eddy Davis New Orleans Jazz Band managed to fit this in whilst continuing their regular Monday night residency at the Carlyle Hotel. The current season runs to 16th June, before Allen takes a break to make his 2015 film. Find more details at Jerry Zigmont’s site.
We also know piano player Conal Fowkes will also appear on the soundtrack to ‘Magic In the Moonlight‘ later this year.
‘The Bullets Over Broadway Musical – Original Broadway Cast Recording‘ is released digitally on 3rd June, and on CD on 10th June. The CD is now available to pre-order on Amazon. The show is running now, at the St James Theatre.
