We are counting down to March when the Bullets Over Broadway musical opens in New York. Having been in deep development for a couple of years, we are finally starting to see publicity materials, cast interviews and more. Best of all is a long, 54 minute interview with four members of the cast.
The interview is with Marin Mazzie, Vincent Pastore, Brooks Ashmanskas and Heléne Yorke, moderated by Elliott Forrest, and conducted at the Greene Space.

It’s great interview with plenty of insights. Formal rehearsals have only just begun. The songs are all existing ones with no new music, with Karen Ziemba getting a song at the start of the second act (although no actual songs were discussed). Audition stories, Stephen Sondheim, feelings about the original film and the revelation that all of them sing.
During the interview, they show a clip of costume designer William Ivey Long at work. Here’s that segment on it’s own.
Another cool video worth checking out – the TV ad for the musical.
There’s also cool flyers out there.

We’re pretty excited. We’re not going to be anywhere near New York City in March, but if you are going to see the show we would love to hear from you! You can get your tickets from the Bullets Over Broadway’s website.

I will be seeing the show on March 20th and would be happy to write a review, or at the very least a description for the site. 🙂
That would be awesome Jon.
